Aja Murray and Alexis Renee met at the tender ages of 5 and somewhere between dress up, make believe, and a deep appreciation for hip hop culture the pair became instant best friends. But when puberty hit the duo lost touch until years later. A lil’ thing called MySpace brought them back together and reaffirmed their passion for fashion. In 2009, 8920™ was born!
8920™ pays homage to the end of a decade and the dawning of a new age. The 8920™ #1 collection is inspired by the works of Keith Haring and interpreted from an African/Native American perspective. Each shirt, a canvas, hand painted and designed by Aja Murray.
